Group to meet for lunch, or for dinner (Abq)
Everybody knows it's harder than ever to make new friends these days. Friends. I read something that's happening in other cities, and maybe it could happen here. Lunch at some cafe or restaurant. Strictly for making friends -- maybe. I'd like suggestions about where, and also suggestions about a topic of focus of conversation. Those could be different every time. Not books or movies. Just something that could be a shared interest, so there would be something to talk about together. Ice breaker. I happen to be in the NE heights, but this could be anywhere, and it's a moving target . . . at least a different topic every time, but probably also try a different cafe or restaurant each time too. Once a month? Once every two weeks? (Once a week is a bit much by my standards. But once a month seems a bit long in between.) Is anyone interested? I'm thinking not more than seven people at any one lunch. Six or seven seems like enough to feel like there's a group, but not an overwhelming number. If you're interested maybe send me an email. Or if you want to stay ultra-private to start with, post your own reply here. I'm wondering if the first topic could just be foodie-related. Try some cafe or restaurant that's well thought of, discuss the food there plus speculate about other places to go next? Or later. Possible topics. Foodie stuff, already said that. Paranormal, anyone interested? Dark skies photography, I'd love to hear some talk about that -- but not quite exactly interested enough to join a group for the purpose. Early Puebloan buildings and culture right here in the Albuquerque area, as much as may be known. Anyone else got ideas?
