Hospice Volunteer - Prairie Wind Hospice (Johnson County)
Prairie Wind Hospice is currently seeking compassionate volunteers throughout Johnson County who are looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of others.
Many of our patients simply want someone to spend time with them—sharing a conversation, reading a favorite book, listening to music, playing a game, or offering quiet companionship. These simple moments of connection can bring tremendous comfort to patients and their families during an important stage of life.
Volunteer roles are non-medical. Our clinical team provides hands-on patient care, while volunteers provide something equally valuable: friendship, support, and a caring presence.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, and even a few hours each month can have a lasting impact.
As a Prairie Wind Hospice volunteer, you'll receive:
• Flexible scheduling that fits your availability
• Training and ongoing support
• The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community
• The chance to build rewarding relationships with patients and families
If you have ever considered hospice volunteering, now is a wonderful time to get involved. Your time, compassion, and willingness to serve can make a profound difference in the lives of patients and families throughout Johnson County.
To learn more, call or text Michael Brockhouse, Volunteer Coordinator, at the number listed in this ad, or send an email. I would be happy to answer any questions and discuss how you can become part of our volunteer team.
