The Friends of Okemos Library will hold a fundraising book sale on Saturday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The sale will be held at 5151 Marsh Road, Okemos 48864. We are located at the Meridian Township Hall pavilion (the old Farmers' Market). Follow the yellow "LIBRARY BOOK SALE" signs to the sale. Current members of the Friends of Okemos Library may shop early from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 18. Annual memberships will be available at the door for a nominal fee. Thousands of gently used and new books (no library discards) from all categories will be sold in addition to many DVD's and CD's. Most items will be priced from 50 cents to $2. On Sunday, July 19, all remaining items will sell for $5 per bag beginning at 2:00 p.m. All funds raised go to support the Okemos Library. Use of book scanning devices is not allowed at our sales. Donations of books and other materials for our sales are always welcome and needed. Donations may be brought to the Okemos Library at 4321 Okemos Road during business hours.
