The Beach Bum Collective is a growing network of people across Southern California dedicated to building the Coastal Community Initiative. We unite researchers, students, businesses, nonprofits, foundations, agencies, musicians, artists, skaters, surfers, residents, youth, and community partners to protect our coastline, advance independent health and environmental research, revive beach, skate, and surf culture, raise awareness of ocean pollution and the Tijuana River sewage crisis, and champion stronger, healthier coastal communities. Our mission is to bring people together to protect our coast, support independent research, revive beach culture, and create opportunities for youth and families through community-driven partnerships and projects. My biggest goal is to create a benefit music festival or concert to support independent environmental and public health research and beach city youth projects.
