Vintage Sports Cards Group (Silver Spring/Laurel/College Park/Burtonsville)
I would like to start a vintage sports card group. Anyone interested in joining me in that endeavor?
My particular interest is that I would like to keep cost down and complete my sets through trade. I am in the unique position of not needing any HOF or Hall of Very Good players. I simply need commons to upgrade to a better condition. I have commons in real great shape to help you out, for your missing cards, if you have what I need.
For the most part, dealers don't bring commons to sports card conventions, and they only want to trade if they can have an upgrade, like a star. I only trade commons for commons, not commons for Hall of Famers. While I could purchase all that I need, to find it in a decent condition with a good price may require a very long time.
If your interest in this group would be different, that is totally fine. If you want to trade or sell various good players or stars that is up to you, I am simply letting you know where my interests lie. Either way, everyone would be welcome in the group - Football, Baseketball, Hockey, Baseball. I do not consider Pokemon "vintage," even the first series. Vintage to me is Pre- 1980 cards.
It should be noted all my cards are ungraded.
Reply back if this sounds like something you would be interested in doing.
