The Hopsmen- invitation to join (Bay Area) Beer club membership seeking like minded individuals 🍻 THE HOPSMEN – INVITATION TO JOIN Private Men’s Craft Beer Society Not a public club. Not a bar night. A monthly gathering of men who want to drink better beer, learn the craft, and enjoy honest fellowship – in a private, distraction‑free setting. --- What We Are A private, member‑only club (60-120 men max). No walk‑ins, no public advertising. Every member joins by referral and formal application. We meet first Thursday of each month, 7–9 PM, rotating through members’ garages, basements, or backyards. --- What You Get Every Month · Guided tasting of 3 beers around a theme (see 12‑month lineup below) · 5‑min beer education segment (hops, malt, yeast, history) · Open roundtable – beer talk plus one non‑beer topic (fatherhood, tools, finance, etc.) · Printed tasting mats & communal glassware · A yearly private brewery tour (paid by dues) --- Membership Details · Dues: $120/month – covers tasting beers, materials, and the yearly tour · Bring one unique bottle/can to share at each meeting (no freeloaders) · Rotating non‑drinker role – gives feedback on aroma/appearance, keeps everyone safe --- 12 Months of Beer Themes Jan: Stouts & Porters Feb: Hoppy IPAs (Hazy, West Coast) Mar: Irish Reds & Dry Stouts Apr: German Lagers & Pilsners May: Belgian Tripels & Golden Strongs Jun: Saisons & Farmhouse Ales Jul: Fruit & Sour Beers Aug: Pale Ales & Session Beers Sep: Fresh Hop & Harvest Ales Oct: Märzen & Pumpkin Ales Nov: Barleywines & Strong Ales Dec: Barrel‑Aged & Advent Beers --- Club Rules (excerpt from bylaws) · Tasting pours only (3–4 oz) – no intoxication · No political or religious debate · Guests must be sponsored by a member and attend only one meeting before a vote --- 🎯 This Invitation Is for You If… You are a man who enjoys beer beyond the label.
